I bought a rough looking 1970 chevelle SS, def a true SS,body and frame look okay, but has been sitting since 1984 when it was last tagged in california, missing the seats, had a BUNCH of parts inside was full of stuff like two sets of heads, a manifold, CRANK, PISTONS LIKE 4 HOLLEY CARBS etc etc just full of stuff, and a bunch of parts in the trunk original valve cover's trim etc FULL, same under the hood a bunch of parts and a block......

The block has T0922CIW THE I could be a T, i am not sure, will look at it closer tomorrow morning...The vin is 136370L126195,it has the body tag also, will get that tomorrow....The heads are 3969854 and the other set is 3917215, intake manifold was 3883948 i believe, might be another intake manifold in the trunk also.......Just wondering if someone could decode the T0922CIW OR I could be a T.....This is in colorado so if anyone wants to stop by and look at it let me know, grin...

Thanks A BUNCH !!!!

There's no CIW suffix code

There is a CTW suffix code, which is a 350 hp 396 that could come in a 1970 Camaro SS, a 1970 Nova SS or a 1970 Chevelle SS.

It was manufactured Sept 22 in the Townawanda (sp?) plant. Check on that pad you found those numbees off of....there should be another set of numbers with the last 6 digits of the car's vin that the engine came out of....this will help determine if it's original to the car or not.
