I just bought a 1969 Chevelle for $700 - it's
a 230 cid w/ a 3 speed manual, no options
that I know of (no power brakes/steering).
The frame is in great condition, the body
has some rust on it (above each wheel). It
has 54k on it, the engine does not have a
rebuild and seems to run great. Was this
a good deal?

How much would this car weigh? With a 350 transplant approx how much would it weigh?

What is involved with a 350 transplant besides mounts/headers/radiators/linkage?

Thanks!

Rob

I think that was a good deal.. I got mine with a 307 after sitting in a field for about 3 years for $1500 and the interior was bad. I think with a 350 the car should weight about ~3600 , no driver.

Good thing you found it before I did, especially if it's a two door.

i agree, i would have bought it too. my 69 weighs 3400 with a 454. i know there's a lot of variance in the weight of these cars, mine has very few options. good luck on your project..go big block, you'll like it.
