Right at the firewall area there are some line up holes that you stick a punch or long phillips screwdriver in to line it up. Of course I didn't know this when I did mine and didn't know I had a problem till it was bumper time. The bumpers bolt to the frame and the body has to be in the right place on the frame or your side bumper gaps will be off. If you can't find the holes, hang the front and rear bumpers and center the body in them. I don't know the torque, I just hit mine with an impact. Put some neversieze on those threads so they don't freeze up in there for the next restoration 30 years fron now. ;)
If you have trouble e-me. I'm in town.

Not 100% sure on 67 and above
but on 64 to 67 there are 4 of them
two at the front next to the bushings and two in the rear at the spring pocket area...
I ASSUME 68 and above have them but you know how you spell ASSUME...right ?
I use a small peice of PIPE to position the body trough the allingement holes B-4 snuging the body down
I can tell you there are two on a 69 chevelle.
Both are on the drivers side, both are between the front and rear wheel openings and look to be made for a special pin of some sort?
Looks to have been tapered with flat wing like things on each side?
hope this helps?

This is from a '68 factory assembly instruction manual....
"Body mountings to be torqued to 30-45 Lbs. ft."
"Residual torque after roll test to be 25 lbs. ft. minimum."
Hope this can help, even if it is a year off (though I don't think it's going to change THAT much).
