I recently removed the hood on my 1970 Chevelle SS to paint the underside. When I did this I removed the Cowl Induction components to replace the bushings on the flapper hinge. Prior to undertaking this project my Cowl Induction worked perfectly. Now when I start the car it doesn't close completely. It closes to within 1/4 inch of being flush with the hood. Other than not closing completely, the Cowl Induction functions properly. Can anyone tell me what might be causing the flapper to not close flush with the hood??

On mine, there are screws or bolts that adjust the flapper door to be level with the hood line. when you removed yours you might have not alligned it up right when you reinstalled it. Just a thought...
