Can I take off the front driver's side fender, without unbolting the hood? It looks possible, but I'm betting the fender is welded to the fender rail that goes between the firewall and the front. They are both painted the same, therefore my doubts of doing it myself.

I need to access the kick-plate vent and re-seal it.

The hood hinge is bolted to the fender

You will at least have to unbolt the hood from the hinge. But that hinge is attached to the fender. Will be difficult to do it that way too. Easiest to take hood off.

Unbolt the hinge from fender, then support the hood with something.

If you support the front of the hood and place a towel under the corner you WONT need to remove the hood. I do it all the time...Eric
