I was in Anchorage from July 1962 'till July of 1964, at Elmendorf AFB. I don't know if that strip was even there at that time as we didn't get off the base very much. I was under aged at the time also, so that pretty much cut out the going to town except after the Good Friday earthquake. It seems to me there wasn't much outside of the city limits at that time. I'm surprised that there are noise cerfews in what was a complete wilderness. I guess things change in fourty five years. After all another hundred miles up the road is that HAARP site. How long is the strip open during the year? Sure are lots of rules in that guy's hello page but he does have a captive audience. A friend of my brothers is in Skagway, Ak. and said it was 90 degrees. Both summers i was in Anchorage it never got over 72 degrees, but it still felt ninety after the miserable winters. Looks like your almost in the tens now, good luck on getting your first one.

Nice launch! What's the rear suspension setup?

Thanks for the comments guys! Don't let the 11.00 on the glass fool you, she goes tens easy enough. On that day the car would not tech for 10's, no trans blanket / shield. The rear suspension is Alf's stuff and is working well with the 9'' slick. I remember when I first showed up here at TC looking to put together a 12 second street car, been a good time for sure! Sure hope it quits RAINING........need to race!!!!!!!!! :)

NIce! The car looks great leaving, just a like a Stocker!

I went from Pulling the wheels about 3" to pulling the wheels about 8" with a few shock changes, weight changes and a carb swap. Its addicting!

The CSI/CSR kevlar shield is a nice piece, a bit pricey, but your ankles are worth it...It sure is a bWitch to install though, on the garage floor with the car 2.5ft in the air.

I have another fresh T400 / manual valve body / ultra bell / trans brake/ blanket ready for install. Thinking that this trans may go into the new Camaro. If so, then I would for sure be interested in a CSR shield for the existing trans. They are worth the cash and hassle of installing, spooky stuff when things let go!
