dont know bout the interchange but if you have never done one you might not want the first one to be on your chevelle.you need to take the door off, remove the handle, lock and all window felts.take a grinder with a stone on it and grind the edge of the door all the way around until the old skin can be seperated from the frame.then remove the rest of the old flange.from here instalation can vary, what i like to do,and it depends on the car,is put the door back on,put the new skin on and test fit it.i use door skin adhesive to glue the skin on because it also seals out water around the whole door frame.if your going to weld it only, and not use adhesive, position the skin where it needs to be and tack weld it in the corners.if your going to glue it,run a bead of adhesive(prepare the metal as per instructions)all the way around the frame and then tack weld the corners.then take the door back off.make sure the skin stays in place.now you need to fold the flange of the new skin over the door frame.you can use a hammer and dolly but its easy for the first timer to realy bend up the door edge.if you plan on doing more than one check out this tool,www.wivco.com/the_skinner.htm

it really works nice and gives a factory looking edge.afetr you roll the flange you can prime and undercoat as needed and reinstall the door.if you take your time and dont beat the crap out of the door roling the flange it s not to hard.just make sure you have the door and skin lined up perfect before you tack weld it and make sure it doesnt move.

i believe the coupe has a longer door than an elky.

Can you get skins for a 69 now? who sells 'em? i knew they made skins for 70-72 and 64-67 but when did they start the 68-69s i have a pair of doors for my 69 that need skins.
