I did a dumb thing recently. I was grinding on the rear package tray to clean up a previous speaker installation and I neglected to protect the rear window from the grinding debris in a couple of places. The window now feels rough to the touch and is discolored from bits of metal that look to have melted right into the glass.

Anyone have experience with this? Is there something I can do to repolish the window? Thanks a bunch for your help on this....

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for the tip for "next time". I got in a hurry and wasn't watching what I was doing....
Thanks again.

All you can do is run a razor blade over it and knock the spatter off the glass. The window is permently damaged.
