No they are not the same. The 4 door is a bit longer and will not fit.are you in need of a frame, or is this just a question in general???

I just bought an almost perfect, low milage, 1 owner, 4 door malibu that has been in storage for the last 12 years. My SS has some frame damage I found after removing the body so I thought that this might be a great oppertuinity to solve the problem. I would feel better replacing the frame, I have not put much effort into finding one yet. I was afraid it would not fit but thats OK, I an getting lots of great parts off this thing. Is this frame for the 4 door only or will it fit wagons and elkies? Thanks....

Your not going to cut it up are you??? That's a survivor! Sell it to someone who will keep it alive.

the 4 door frame is unique to 4 door only. it will not fit wagons or elkys either.
do you have pics of it. is it a sport sedan (no door posts between the side door)?

Thanks for the info guys. I don't think the post shows between the front and back door when they are both shut. Today was the first chance I had to seriously look this car over. I am real happy with my findings. Electrically, everything works, even the AM radio. Windshield washer works,The spare tire/ jack are complete. It's pretty cool getting to see how everything is supposed to be instead of someones hack job attempt of a repair. I bought this car for it's parts, I don't think it's anything rare or valuable (other than it's condition and completness) It's a 307/powerglide colum shift, all idiot lights, no A/C, Manual windows/locks, bench seat, power brakes (but with 4 wheel drum, Kind-of weird) and has a trim package, (w/o mldgs, hockey puck & body side mldgs, rear body panel mldgs & 307 badge with front marker bezel). Anyone think it's rare or valuable? Also, an unrelated question, What determines weather or not these is an "astro ventilation" emblem above the trim above the glove box? (other that the astro ventilation option) I've seen cars with and without this emblem but having the astro ventilaton option? Any ideas? Thanks again every one....
