I am having alot of trouble with my hood hinges, have bent 2 sets so far and wrinkled the hood. Just put new set on car and they appear to be tilted inward. Have a metal 4" cowl on a CI hood. Have tried 3 sets of springs too.
Told shop to check the fender measurements across inside of engine bay to see if they are good. Don't know what is making it do this.

DennisT... do a search on "hood hinges and martinsr". He has some really helpful tips on hood alignment. It took me a couple hours to get mine lined up, but his advice helped. The key is subtle adjustments, one side at a time, and patience.
If the hood fit before...hopefully your fenders aren't the issue

Make sure you are pushing the hood back toward the windshield before pushing it down. I can't tell you how many nimrods hang on the damn hood getting it to start down. That is huge stress at the point that I'm sure wrinkled on your hood. Lube the hinges good and push it back toward the windshield when closing the hood. I've politely slipped in a million times when it comes time to close the hood at a service place!
