I have had my chevelle since aug '72 (it's a 70). It has bucket seats and cntr console.My question is this...Did the 4speed cars come from the factory with the slider or was that an option?Mine didn't have one when I bought it and I haven't seen them in any other 70-72 4speed cars, or is the slider an after amrket thing like the cowl screens??

It's not an after market thing. I'm not sure about newer cars, but 68's got the slider from the factory. It's in the assembly manual.
