I need to install a hood scoop on my 66 so that I can get some decent air flow. I was wondering if there is a brand out there that I should avoid. Or maybe someone might be really happy with a certain company and wouldn't mind letting me know. Thanks.

Go to a Swap meet you can check out the Fiber Glass one. They cost from $40.00 to $80.00.Depends on the height you want.Hood scoops they have there. Some are Harwood, and a few not so big companys.Just make sure you get a solid hood scoop. Not the flexable one,s.Because the flexable one will bow down in the center. After you install it,bounce while you drive down the road.

4" Harwood "Outlaw" is a very popular scoop. This is mine mounted to my non-SS original hood. I cut a hole in the hood under the scoop for air flow purposes http://users.ev1.net/~jaaustin/chevelle/hood_primer.jpg http://users.ev1.net/~jaaustin/chevelle/hood_hole.jpg

That is the exact one I just bought from summit. Any tips on how to attach it to the hood? Never done this before.

click on my project link. You can use epoxy only or both epoxy and flat head screws as I did.
