Anyone know of a modern power window setup for a '69 Malibu? I am restoring the interior with aftermarket door panels and interior and looking to invest in a new complete power window kit.

Thanks in advance!

Electric Life sells kits- not cheap- for A bodies $249 for fronts, $249 for the backs. Summit and Jegs sells them. I got lucky and got an original GM kit for the front and back windows on eBay for $155- and it was complete w/switches, boots and even the push in plastic pins to hold them in! What I'm saying is don't give up hope finding a bargain on eBay! Click on Car and Truck parts, type in Power Windows, then All eBay Categories. Good Luck!

Thanks for the posts but I am actually looking for a modern aftermarket setup. Possibly something that is low profile and more efficient and quieter than what they offered back then. Any additional input would be greatly appreciated.

Might be worth looking through the street rod magazines and making a few calls to those companies that make kits for those.

We sell and install a lot of Electric Life. One of our most popular products. They are modern direct bolt in and work great. They also have multiple switch choices for original style, black late model style, or billet lighted. We use a lot of the lighted billet and put 4 switches in the console on customs. Makes for a nice clean install with nothing in the door or side panels.

I talked to a guy in a hot rod shop about this a while ago, and he recommended Nu-Relics (http://www.nu-relics.com/). He said it was a good quality product and a painless installation. Haven't tried them myself though.

I purchased a pair of NU-RELICS power window regulators with motors for my 68 Malibu. They come with everything you need for installation. They are an exact bolt in that did not require any modifications. They are quiet and run very smooth. The people are very friendly, it seems like it is owned/run by a husband and wife, and I was glad to give them my business. IMO they are top of the line.

Nu-Relics at $840 is about $200 more then we sell a Electric Life set up.
