So I'm trying to get the Chevelle as ready as I can for the track and show next weekend. Trying to get it as tuned as I can, so as to not embarass myself, or bring dishonor to the Chevelle as we all know and love it.
So, I've got several issue's I'm working on...

1) Just dropped the jetting down in the 750 street avenger to 72/80, had gone up to 74/84. It seem's as that was to much, cause it really kicked the motor in the azz, by leaning it down some. Several passes down the backroad seem to be where I want to be, but what could happen at the track? I can't stay on it long enough to really gauge it till I get to the track. I've got a holley jet assortment kit, and a couple extra gaskets to boot.

2) I do have a timing issue, My Unilite seem's to be jumping around at full advance. I've set it to 18* with 20* advance for a total of 38* at around 2600 rpm, but at 2600, I notice it jumps between 38-42*. I've adjusted the curve to a couple of the big spring's which should give me a pretty straight line curve in the advance.

Now this is a mechanical distributor, when I nail it acceleration is awesome, but if I just kinda get on it, it seems to accelerate rough? Wondering if this is due to the dist. flutter?
I'm working on the plugs right now, got em pretty close in the heat range, but were black due to the overjetting, need to check them again.

There's more to come, but this seem to b e the last of my major issue's, (on the car that is):D So any Idea's.
