I have been working on our '65 ss Chevelle now for about 20 yrs. When we had the cash we didn't have the time, when we had the time we didn't have cash. That's changed. We are now making time to work on the Chavelle. We are in need of the trim that holds the headliner up over the door openings. Has anybody got a set of streetable used, or know where I can get a set?

Hi, welcome to the best chevelle site on the net!
Decent headliner trim is hard to find and I don't think anyone is making repros yet. I've seen several sets on ebay over the last year or so but be prepared to spend $100+ for a set that needs work! I believe that 64's use the same trim so that might help widen your search. I have a spare set but they are really rough and would take a lot of work to make useable. Send me a PM if your interested but I'd only consider them if you can't find anything else.

You can still install your headliner because it glues on a perimeter flange that is over the door also. The trim pieces are just to cover the unfinished edge.

I saw a 64 at the KC Aces Regional last weekend that had the heavy vinyl trim piece installed instead of the chrome trim. Looked nice. An alternative idea till you find good chrome ones.
