Hello everyone-
I have a 72 chevelle with the original tinted glass in it yet. It is pretty well scratched, so I thought I would replace it with some original glass, in better condition. I found a 72 monte carlo with really nice glass so I took it out. When I got back, there was a spot missing in the glass for an extra bolt support that my original glass had. I know it's hard to explain, but here it goes. If you can see where the 3 main bolts on the glass bolt to the window regulator, there is a rear window bolt for the window stopper. The 72 monte glass and other cars I've noticed do not have anything else inbetween these bolts. HOWEVER, on my 72 chevelle glass, there is an extra bolt between the 3 main bolts on the glass and the rear bolt for the window stopper. The bolt is for an extra support on the glass. All of the window regulators I've sen had this extra support hole. Can I use this glass even though the glass doesnt have the hole for the extra support? Thanks!
