I have a 200R4 transmission ....... i went around the corner and it quit moving..... the tranny shop said they tore it down and but nothing was bad but it had wear on the tranny ....... he wanted to rebuild it.... but if isnt broke .... dont fix it...... questions????
1 would the convertor do that??? i can put it in gear .... but it doesnt do crap... but you can feel it go into gear..... but no or little movement.... any ideas????
2 does anyone know how to wire a factory lock up??? 3 wire????
3 would a lock up 1000 stall convertor be better for minor mods.????

1st how's the fluid level?
You can check to verify the pump is working by taking off the top cooler line & see if you have oil flow by starting it up (have something to catch the oil in).

you do not want a converter with a 1,000 rpm stall.
Sometimes the center splined hub part of the converter turbine ( inside) can tear out. This hub is what the input shaft is driven by with engine power/rpm.
There will be little if any movement of the vehicle when this happens... just a thought

Also might be worth checking the rear diff, possible sheared pinion, etc.. unlikely, but possible.
