Im looking at getting new rear control arms. Upper and lower (i have stock ones now) and im wondering what kinda improvement i will see with these. but what im really looking for is some advice on what to go with. Im not leaning towards edelbrock or hotchkis. Im looking at UMI and Racesuspensions which one of the 2 is better (if one is) i konw UMI is a bit more expensive and they powdercoat them red or black and racesuspensions.com doesnt so there is the difference in price right there. But is there a better or worse one? Im leaning towards UMI unless there is a cheaper brand out there that is just as good.

I know you get what you pay for but im just hunting for the best price. Thanks for all the help guys. I really appreciate it.

TTT I really need some feed back on whether spending my money on the UMI kit is gonna be worth it?? Will this basically eliminate wheel hop and plant the rear tires w/minimal tire spin on the drag strip?? Thanks guys.

UMI is definitely better. They use QA1's teflon lined rod ends, which last longer, they are powdercoated, so you don't need to paint them, and the lowers will except a sway-bar if you need one.

Thanks derek, i figured i should spend the little bit extra (get what ya pay for like i said). If any one has any other input that would be great, i wont be purchasing them for about a week or so, so if there is someone better out there for a better price or something like that let me know i really appreciate it. Thanks again

Edelbrock and Currie use "johnny joints" which last much longer than even the best (QA1) rod ends, but they are more expensive as well.

Thanks again Derek. I think ill just go with UMI. Do you have them?? How do they work (well??) im assuming so, i just wanna make sure i get all of my power to the ground on the strip w/out any wheel hop. Just traction. Thanks for all of your input

I actually went with arms from www.wolferacecraft.com (http://www.wolferacecraft.com) which were a cheaper arm with solid rod ends. I only bought these because they had 20% off sale last December, so the price difference seemed worth it with that discount. They came unpainted, will not accept a rear sway-bar, and use non-lined rod ends.

You may want to check these out also, http://www.wolferacecraft.com/detail.aspx?ID=187 rather than using a bushing in the housing, a rod-end will eliminate all bushing-bind.

Thanks for everything. But im pretty sold on the UMIs. I have actually looked at Racesuspension.com and Wolfecraft along w/UMI. I just like the fact that UMI has powdercoated in red (my choice) and black. Also I like the QA1 rod ends which i have read a lot about. And the price!! Well....Thanks for the help and input. I appreciate it. Thanks again!!!
