Was over to a local bodyshop checking on a paint job today. When the owner saw my 67 Elky, he asked if it was an original BB, since it had the SS hood, which he called a "Big Block" hood. I told him that my info (from this site) said that there were no SS Elky's until 68, and that the hood was transplanted from a 'velle. Although I have seen many pics of 67 Elky's with SS hoods, I thought they were just a popular transplant. Whats up?

If you're interested in swapping your SS Hood for a malibu hood, I have one that's perfect. Or if you know where I can find an excellent original 67 SS hood, I'd appreciate knowing that.
