I need to get my frame "rolled" to correct front chamber problems due to frame sag/damage.
Is there anything to look for when picking a shop?
I have been unable to find anyone with any experience locally. I have read to avoid chains (NTB, etc.). After reading through the yellow pages, I cannot find any that appear to specialize in frame and alignment.
Any suggestions?

You might want to look for some old timer who has been doing alignments all his life. I had an old guy do our Chevelle a few years ago and it drives exceptionally well. He pulled the frame and set up the alignment for radial tires. About the only computerized thing in his shop was the digital clock on his desk. He also had a good reputation.

Check with the local independent collision repair shops. If they are not interested, ask them who they would recommend. As you stated, STAY AWAY from franchise type operations for this problem. They may however, be able to refer you to a good frame shop. It would be a RARE franchise operation that has a frame rack, or even someone that knows how to identify or repair frame damage. They do however have to send them someplace.
Good luck, Karl

thanks for the responses.
I think I might have found a place. I talked to the guy who owns the place and he knew what I was talking about when I described my problem (all the others just told me to "bring it in and (they) will take a look at it"). He also said that he had two frame machines. His place looks a little junky, but I guess thats what I have to expect from a non-chain.
I might try to check out a few more places just to compare.
