If you guys who do this stuff for a living haven't seen these pliers from MATCO you have got to put one in your tool box. They pull out with ease most all the "push pin" style plastic clips like Honda uses. I just did two Odyssey rear bumpers today and used it for the first time. It REALLY works, saved a lot of time. I know the Honda ones come out pretty easy with a screw driver, but they are SUPER easy with this tool. The other guys in the shop were just as impressed with a number of other clips but these Honda ones are the only ones I have had a chance to try.

I think this may be one of those tools I will use the heck out of.

Its been awhile since I had a Honda in my bay, but how well does it work on clips that are totally surrounded?
Chrylser and Toyota use a clip like that one shown in your pic but the head is sunken down, surrounded.

I just bought a similar tool made by Steck i believe.Works awesome! Even on the 'surrounded' clips. You can use the thin tip to pull the clip up,then grasp the stem and pull it out instead of popping the head off like with the old style clip tool. $28 on the Snap-On truck. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

70isfine, I got that one from the MAC guy some time ago. I wasnt overly impressed with it. Some times it would pull the clip right out the next time it would dig into the surrounding part of the clip making removal impossible.

I wanna know what happened to simple bolts and 1/4 pushin's
Do these car manufactors employ guys sitting behind desks thinking of new clip designs just to annoy us body techs?
