my new cable is longer than my old one is it ok to have a loop in it?

Yes, just try to make it as gradual as possible. Also support it with wire ties so it doesn't sag.

yup thats what i did a gentle loop, wire tied to the trans crossmember.

Did you happen to get one for a 4 Speed car? The 4 speed cables are longer because the speedo gear is on the pass. side of the transmission.

hope not i got it from ground up told them what its for. i think it said 69 to 74? something like that i needed it for 70 350 700r4. its about a foot longer.
