Ive been reading alot of past posts on compressors, and cfm/HP ratings for painting. I need to either borrow one, rent one, or buy one if I can afford it. I'd love to run air tools but thats the furthest thing from my mind, and price. Ive got a HVLP gravity feed gun i'll be using for the base and clear, the primer I have one of this little tin standard guns.

I hope this link works, its to the compressors section at Hardbor Freight. Wondering what the lower cost units would work well for my job. I will be painting the fenders seperate, the hood seperate, then the rest of the body/rear/ hood in the same sweep. So there will be 3 parts/ breaks I guess.

Just to give you an idea, my compressor is a 5hp 60 Gal and it barely keeps up, and runs almost constantly when spraying. HVLP uses alot of air. About all that compressor good for is airing up tires, a friend of mine has one like that and didn't last 6 months before it quit building over 90psi.
