I've purchased a set of wheel well moldings from OPG for a 70 camino, but the surface that mounts to the wheel seems to be significantly wider on the after market than the original. Has any one installed these and do they fit? Also does anyone know where to purchase a set that near the same as the original.

I've checked YearOne, and Danchuk, there's are made by GM. But they still have a very wide screw plate. OPG is made by Corvex Moldings and it too has a wide screw plate.
Original:
The original is 1" wide. From the center of the screw hole(s) to the outside edge of the trim is .75"
Aftermarket:
The Danchuk Genuine GM is 1.5" wide.
Corvex Moldings is 1.5 wide.
The YearOne I don't have, and there is no picture on its web site.
From the center of the screw hole(s) to the outside edge of the trim is 1.25".
With the difference between these, I don't see how they can fit without redrilling. I can't open these because I won't be able to return them.
So, I guess my question is did anyone run into this issue, and have they installed them?
thanks
