Can anyone confirm? I think in 69 they had only the 307 and the 350 in the small block? My car is a factory 307 car, I am thinking of replacing it with a 327 would that be sacreligious?

327 would be a nice one to put in it.

No one would ever know the difference between a 327 and 350 if it was in the car...

To answer the first part of your question, yes - the 307 and 350 were the available small blocks.

To answer your second question, no IMO if you're not restoring the car to concours status. Wouldn't matter what the engine size is. Enjoy what you want

The 327 was still available in 69, we had a 69 Impala with a 327 that was my Dad's company car and he bought it from the in 72 for his personal car.

Although the 327 was available in some of the Chevrolets for 1969, Dale is correct, the 327 was not available in the Malibu/Chevelle line.

If you are not worried about numbers correct, you should go for it.

In Grumpy427's post he didn't say what model car he had.

Quite true, no mention was made of the Chevrolet model. Being a Chevelle site I assumed he was talking about a Chevelle - maybe not though.

Hey Guys sorry about that. I have a 69 malibu. And will most likely go with a 350HP 350, going to keep the car as stock as possible, but not looking to have a show car, just a clean driver.
