Sorry for posting this on the Chevelle board, but I can not find anyplace better ... and the information here has always been A1!!

My '97 K1500 needs new doors. The skins are rotted at the bottom. The body shop wants $400 to put a new skin on each door (plus paint). I'm thinking for that much I should be able to find a good used one down south (NYS doesn't have anything).

Anybody that can help?

check the junk yards.. you might even be able to find something in your color so no need to repaint. i have a U-Pull it junk yard near me but not many cars newer then 95.. trucks are all 90 and earlier.. but their prices are great.. $22 for a fender or bumper $25 for a complete door... great deal if you ask me... the cars range from 80s to 90s sadly no A- bodies.............. im sure theres many junk yards in your area that can help you..
