On the Home page to this site is a section for books. Look through there and you will see many books. I have read many books and like the author Colvin, his books Chevrolet by the Numbers deals with specific groups of years.

Also, there are books published by Cars and Parts Magazine that are good.

One of the best books I have is Chevelle and El Camino ID Model Codes, it was authored by the old NCOA (Mark Meekins). I doubt you will find it in any book stores but look for it at swap meets and shows.

Contact Mike Crown he has a dvd with all the info you will ever need for 66-67. He goes by the name of Mistery Chevelle. He has a perfectly restored 66 SS Chevelle. Attention to detail in every aspect of the restoration was taken care of. You will not be dissapointed.

It's a CD, not DVD. :)

Mike's CD is a very good resource for 66/67 SS396 models but limited in information on other models. Not a bad thing mind you but the CD is focused towards the SS396. His handle is is 66 MYSTERY CHEVELLE, not Mistery Chevelle. Just a small correction so you can find him easier. :)

Sounds like good info. But I wish it came in a book.
