Well the other day I stuck a light bulb in my dome light and I couldnt get it to work so I just left it thinking Id come back to it another day. Well the other day I was working on my rear window channel and noticed that I forgot to plug in the dome light wiring harness. Pluged it in and tada it works but I went and shut both doors and it wouldnt shut off. I know the drivers side switch works cause the key minder works with the door open and when you shut it, it goes off. What else could I check? I went and pushed the passengers side switch with my finger and it didnt turn it off.

Be sure that the headlight switch isn't keeping it on.

The dome light gets 12 volt power all the time. It turns on when the ground connection is made. This can be done by the headlight switch, the door switches or by a shorted wire to any of the aforementioned. So,, pull off the wire from the each door switch and the headlamp switch and see if that works. If the light stays on, then it may be that a wire is chafed through and touching a ground.
