One of the challenges I'm faced with in swapping to a blower set-up has to do with hood clearance. I really don't want to cut the steel hood I have now. I will if forced to, but would rather get a fiberglass hood that is already prepared for a blower application. Tyring to have it painted to match my cars' paint is going to be a challenge as well.

Does anyone know of a company that manufactures pre-cut fiberglass blower hoods for a '70 Chevelle? Thanks.

Long time no hear Bro...

I've just spent the last 10 minutes of my life devoted to finding you some info on a hood, but came up short. Just this morning someone posted pictures of their blue 70 SS showcar, with a BBC and a real large dome hood, something like 6-8" high. Couldn't find the thread for the life of me!

Anyhow, I understand you'll be using carbs? If so, IMHO, they look pretty cool sticking out of the hood with the correct air cleaner set. TC'er "Tonyr" has that set up on his '69 SS. Keep us in the loop as to your decisions.

BTW....my '72 SS 502 is running like a champ and I'm having a ball driving her! Updated pics on my site below.

What type of blower are you using? 6-71?
