Im replacing the trunk pans and quarters on my 67. Is it easier to do this with the body on the frame or off. If you take the body off the frame would you have a harder time getting everything lined up again. Tahnks.

ON the frame, without a doubt. Click HERE (http://www.chevelles.com/cgi-bin/forum/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=009259) for more on the subject.

One thing I learned after the first car I did, was to measure the old quarter dimensions, compared to the opposite side and tack weld small steel rods to various areas so the new panels could butt up against them during the new panel alignment.(such as the lower rear of the quarters) If the lower rear of the quarters are not the proper dimension to each other, the rear valance will not fit properly. Only cut one panel off and replace it before starting on the other side. This is key to having something to measure from. ;)
