I need some advice from the Chevelle gods. I have a 68 327 with camel hump heads and I just put a set of ceramic coated headers on it. The problem I have is that the #6 spark plug tip is within about 1/4 inch from the header tube. Ive heard that there is a "short" spark plug that can be bought that would give me a little more room. Does anyone know a part #? Or any other advice would be great. I still havent figured out how to get this plug tight.

I use Accel shorty spark plugs, which I usually order thru summit. The few big box places I've tried don't carry them but they'd be happy to order some for you.
PN I have is ACC-0574S from summit. I am running colder plugs so you might want a few numbers higher. I think it goes up to -0578.

I don't know if you have NAPA auto parts out there, but they carry an NGK plug that is shorter. I can get the PN from the garage if you want. I've used both the accel's and NGKs with no problem. The NGK's are local so no need to order them.

Matt, that would be great! I'm sure the NGKs are more expensive but without having to pay Summit's 10 bucks handling and waiting 3 days, it would be well worth it.

Bosch plugs are shorter than stock AC plugs and cheaper than the Accel shorty plugs.
Good Luck :D

Well I just compared them to a standard plug, they are a bit shorter. they are 14mm 5/8 if that is what you use. NGK 4323 BR6FS.
hope that is of any help.

I believe Accel has the shortest plug on the market and the next shortest is Bosch.
I have exactly the same setup on my 70 conv (but with SB400), And I use the Accel plugs.
