Do any of you guys use aftermarket seat belts in your Chevelle. I am debating on wether or not to get an original seat belt set or and aftermarket kind.

Suggestions Please

Thanks
John

I put aftermarket in mine. I am not entering it in any shows and needed belts for the kids. Aftermarket was inexpensive and quick. Heck you can't even see them when they are used with the car seats so I wasn't concerend with original.

I'll keep my eye open for originals and if I find some great. If not, no big deal.

Just my $0.02

Thanks for the reply. After using that search feature :) I found a few places online that carry some decent aftermarket ones.

Thanks again.

Just put a set of Morris Classic 3-point retractables in my car. Very happy with how they fit and work.

Just remember, don't put 4 point belts in a car without rollover protection-- it just isn't safe. I see this quite a bit at cruise-ins and cringe every time I see it done.

I have four point corbeau belts. They really look nice. I just don't like the way they have to be installed. I don't want my belts connecting in the back seat area. If that made any sense : )

Do you have any pics? I would like to see how they are installed if you don't mind?

Anyone interested in some 4pt corbeau belts brand new : )

Sure do.

They bolt to the factory mounts, inner & outer, and use the factory shoulder mount in the roof. Comes with the retractor, buckles, retractor bracket, and swivel shoulder strap bracket.

They work well and are quite comfy, they don't interefere with your neck and let you lean forward to work the A/C, radio, etc.

That being said, the actual retractor, buckles, & shoulder belt assembly is a readily available off the shelf item, Morris Classic just makes the vehicle-specific floor bracket for the retractor and the roof bracket for the shoulder strap. Nice quality work though.

Very Very Nice. I like them.. I think I just may have to purchase them. Especially if they hook up in the original locations.

Thanks a bunch.

I just put a set of Morris concept 3-point seat belts in my '69 Chevelle. They look and work great. No drilling, no nothing. It's refreshing to buy a bolt-in item that actually bolts in.
