My rear window channel has some small pits between 1/16 to 1/8 deep. I'm going to use butyl tape to install the glass to make it easier to get the right glass depth for the moulding so it will fit better. What would be the best thing to use to fill theses small pits with? IF I was going to use urethane glass sealer I think it would seal the small pits but I'm not sure that butyl tape will. I plan on treating the window channel with a rust treatment but I'm not sure what to use to fill the pits with.
Thanks for any help
Jerry

Por putty. The stuff is like steel when it sets up, and won't bubble up like bondo. www.por15.com (http://www.por15.com)

Have used product called Metal To Metal. Mixes & spreads like filler, dries & sands like lead, seemed to work very well. Will try por putty next time so I can compare. Clean surface & corrosion protection on back side (if pin holes exist) will achieve best results. Karl.
