: Which style Floor Pans?

I have a 70 Chevelle convertible that needs complete floor pans. What style pans are best? Use the full length pans on each side, or go with the pans that are two pieces on each side? Also, the floor pan brace needs replaced, and I am not sure what sequence of replacing panels is best to get everything to fit correctly. Thanks!

Mike - I'm using the three-piece pans, so I can only tell you about those. I picked them because I'm only replacing the "bad" metal and they're pretty easy to trim and fit.

I've heard some of the one-piece pans don't fit without some persuasion and the stampings aren't as good as the two- or three-piece sets. Maybe someone who has used those can chime in here.

When I replaced the pans on my 64, I went by National Parts Group (in Ventura) and had them pull out an example of each.

The quality of the pressings can NOT be compared and I went with the three pans per side set-up.

After doing the work, I think that an added bonus is that it's easier to work the small sections one at a time, then to do a complete "one-piece" section.

Just so that you know, on the 64's, there are a total of three possible pans for the floor (per side). One goes up under the throttle pedal and may not be required. (I ended up using about 1/2 of that pan)

I used the one peice floor pans in my 67 they were not too bad to install but kind of akward due to their size stamping was close but not quite like original. I just ordered 2 peice floors for my wifes 67 camaro and there is much better quality with the 2 peice such as crisper stamping and the metal seems to be a heavier guage.Plus they are easier to handle when trimming and fitting.I would go the 2 peice route.
