Anyone know anything about them? Good, bad, too expensive, or crapshoot? Looks like they do everything there, and I am assuming they are high dollar. Their website looks like they do good work, but it is advertising and we all know how that goes.... It would be great if anyone knew first hand whether or not to waste my time there as they are about two hours away from me.

I just looked there website over, like the peerless has lots of pictures. I'm not sure what you're looking for, to buy a car, have them do your exiting car or whatever.

Just trying to give you ideas here.

It sounds like whatever you're interested in, you want it done right.

I would ask for clear digital pictures of the chassis of the peerless to use as an example of there work.

And tell them the pictures have to be close up and clear.

Ask them if they have any documentation of the filler, paint and primer used.

Also documentation of torque settings, what grade bolts were used for different applications, especially on the chassis.

I believe that any time a person buys or has his car fixed or restored you should have documentation of what went into it, although this would apply more to the higher end work or car.

While I'm on this subject, if the car you buy or have restored gets into a wreck, if you have the paint etc. numbers it will make it a lot easier to fix it.

I'm not trying to blow my own horn here, but the car I'm doing has all the numbers on everything on it, and when I'm done with it, you could take it to a chevrolet dealer, and a kid right out of tech school could put this car on a hoist and take the factory service manual, and be able to give an accurate estimate of what it would take to repair this car, with absolutely no surprises.

Different primers can make a difference in the actual color of a base coat, ask lots of questions about what products they use, also you can go to a body or paint supply and get those same product sheets for yourself, in other words the more you educate yourself, of which you can, like ppg reps will talk to anyone.

Hope some of this gives you some ideas to go with.

The one car they did that I really remember was the M-80 - which was a completely over the top bitchin car. Pure art, and one of the most blazing red paint jobs that I have ever seen.

If you can pay their bill, do it.
