Hi All,

Figured this would be the place to help me get started. I'm in search for a 66-67 Chevelle, fully restored or almost done project car. Where do I start? How do I know what to look & avoid for in either yrs? Any guidance is appreciated. I know this is very general....

Thanks in advance

First off, welcome to the best Chevelle site you'll ever find...period.
There are cars for sale on this site. Just click on "classifieds" on the first page of this site.
http://www.chevelles.com/classifieds/
You can also search on eBay, but beware that what you see is not always what you get.

I'm not versed in 66-67 cars, but I do know they all had typical "rot spots".
Rear window, and windshield corners. lower rear front fender section between wheel opening, and the door. Lower door corners front and rear (corners).
Obvious things like the trunk, lower quarter panels, and wheel openings,
THE FRAME!
If, and when you find the car you think you would like to purchase, go over it with a fine tooth comb whether it's a project, or a finished car.
Better yet call upon a local Team Chevelle member to check out a car and advise you if it is possible. The experience level on this site is bar none.
Just ask. This site houses a great group.

I was typing a response when Mystery Chevelle Mike chimed in. I'm glad he did  You're in good hands :D

I should have mine done in next Spring - it may be up for sale then. See my signature for the restoration details - It's a 66 SS... PM me for more info if you like.
