I am ready to begin reassembly of the window regulators, glass and window rubber.

I remember when taking it all apart we removed the glass before removing the window rubber and felts because the glass blocked access to some of the screws that held the rubber on.

Note: We pre-fit the new window rubber before painting the car, so we know they are shaped correctly and all screw holes will line up!

Now that I am reinstalling everything it seems to me that I wouldn't want push anything down thru the new window rubber that I don't have to. But remembering how things came apart I am concerned that if I try to put the window rubber on last I won't be able to put the screws in that hold the rubber on.

Question: What is the proper sequence?

Insert regulators, then glass, then with window not connected to regulator let the window drop down past its normal bottom position, then install rubber and push the glass UP thru it slightly and then slide glass rollers onto window regulators, then bolt regulators to door/body?

Thanks in advance. My assembly manual seems to be minus this information.

When I did mine I put regulators in first, then the window and felts last. You lower the window stops which will enable you to screw the felts in. Pete

Can anyone else "second" that sequence?

Also, after the regulators are slipped in do I leave them loose until I put the glass in and get the rollers hooked into the regulator tracks?
