I looked through the forum for kick panel removal and nobody seems to have any problem taking off the passenger side, but i'm having a problem with the heater box. It looks like I have to take it off for the kick panel to come out, is that right or am I missing something? It's a non A/C vent BTW.

Have you pulled the grill and removed the screws (3) under there?also you got to pull the kick panel out far enought to remove the vent wire off the stud.

Thank's for the reply Steve, I got all the screws off but can't seem to pull the vent out of the hole without hitting the heater box. Looks like I need about a couple of inches before I can get the vent part out of the hole. Is there anything I have to know about taking off the heater box?

Pulling the header box is a major pain in the arse!!! You almost always have to pull the front fender off to get to all the bolts, especily if they are rusted. All of the bolts are access thru the engine firewall.I have never had to remove the header box to pull the kick panels, there was enough room to fold the front part of the kick panel over the header box and clear the vent.
