Hi all
I just removed the wheel wells and front fenders on my 67 Malibu and what a sweet find. Inside each of the front two, between the fenders and wheel wells was a glued build sheet (I think). They are not very readable, but maybe 40-45%
So, can someone steer me to what a build sheet looks like so I can possibly piece this thing back together.
TIA
Michael

That looks like it to me. Its a little different then the 69 newer cars. Those are commonly called "Broadcast sheets". Still gives the relevant information.
I found a Broadcast sheet folded and tucked in the spring underneath an extra set of 67 buckets I have a couple of weeks back. The seats were out of a Pontiac LeMans and the info is hard to read but was filled in by hand using an ink pen. Very faded.

That's a nice find Micheal. I too have a 135-series '67 Chevelle, but since it is an Oshawa-built car it came with a 'Line 100' tag hog-ringed to the rear seat base rather than having a broadcast sheet.
Butternut Yellow with medium blue cloth interior? I have never seen another that came stock like that.
I noticed that you have a closed-type oil filler cap on your valve cover. Unless your car came with the K24 Closed type PCV system together with the K19 air pump, you should try to find a correct breather-type oil filler cap. It is necessary to allow proper crankcase venting.

The guy rebuilding the engine mentioned that he knew the original owner (back when). The lady who ordered it custom with those colors. (someone needs to remove their colored contacts when ordering) hehehe
I"ll have to check into the oil filler cap and check for the K24 and K19. Thanks for the tip and please feel free to keep them coming. I'm pretty new to all this.

Nice find. There were Body and Chassis Broadcast Copy sheets, your find is the Body sheet. Body sheet doesn't give any info on the drive train or suspension but that wouldn't matter as much in this case. There's still valuable information to be kept here.
I would tend to disagree that Butternut Yellow would be a poor choice of colors in today's world. I would have to agree that the yellow exterior and blue interior is a strange combination and would have had to have been special ordered. Black, Fawn, and Turquoise were the 'accepted' colors by Chevrolet but it could be done.
To protect against ordering errors with the resultant production of undesirable color combinations, procedures have been established to reject any exterior-interior color not in the recommended category until such orders are verified with the dealer involved. We wish to eliminate this potential delaying factor and ask your cooperation in circling any color code on the order form when a non-recommended combination is desired. This will permit processing the order for production without further delay.
It's such an odd factory combination I might be tempted to keep it - definately something you don't see every day. :D
