Bo6869ChevelleMan Jan 29th, 04, 7:51 PM Clark 68, How far are you from Slippery Rock, PA. ? I'll bet you that Sundell Auto Specialties has what you need at one of their locations. They will also ship it out to you wherever.Just ask for Norm or Rob. They are really good people. Their number is: (724)794-6827 . Would you happen to have a 68 Chevelle assembly manual? I would like to see the pic. of the auto. trans. cable and bracket hook-up. Im doing a auto. on column to auto. on floor with horseshoe shifter and console. I allready have the shiftworks kit and cable. The bracket that holds the cable in has holes in it and comes with two phillips sheet metal screws. I just removed two trans. pan bolts and mounted bolts through holes in bracket and tightened them down to the trans. pan. I wanted to see how they did it in the assembly manual. I'll have to get one. Shoot me an email if you have one, and also let me know if Sundell fixes you up with your parts you need. I'd be shocked if he didnt have anything. Bo6869ChevelleMan Jan 30th, 04, 7:35 PM Thats GREAT Clark 68. I was certain he would have what you wanted. They are really nice guys up there. I drove up there a few years ago and bought a bunch of stuff from Norm. Really nice guy. Good prices too. If you ever get the chance go there and see his place, its pretty cool. He either has in stock or can get you anything you want for your Chevelle. Is your 68 Chevelle a Malibu or an SS ? Auto. on column or floor? Are you doing a frame-off on your Chevelle ? Are you restoring the chassis and underbody of your Chevelle ? I would like to build a good rotisserie for my Chevelle. Mark

Clark68 Jan 31st, 04, 11:51 AM Its a malibu, however, I will not be putting the Malibu tags back on the exterior... Its a chevelle thats all people need to know.
I'm not doig a frame off, not enough space and I don't really want to get that deep into the project. The car was in really good shape when I bought it; freshly rebuilt engine and tran, interior wasn't bad but wasn't perfect, and I ended up replacing a lot that I probably could have let go but wouldn't have been happy with. The body bushings are all fresg except the rad mounts and I can get those cheap. So far I have done one rear wheel well, the matching qurater panel, the deck filler, done most of the floor boards in POR15, tore the front end off and redone the rad. support wires and misc. items.
Its only been 9 months... 4 of which I was too far away to do anything to it.
Wait until spring, ITS GO TIME!
