i have a accell coil set up on my 350 / HEI/ i went to go start it up today and it started then shut off right away .i checked that the chain didnt go .it looks to be ok .then i checked the spark and i have none to the plugs . with te key on i do have power to the batt term on the hei cap but no spark at the plugs .please help ! any idea's all i have is a test light no meters thanks

May have blown the module. One of the more common problems.

thank you i just ordered a hopped up hei dist .im just going to drop it in and see .what's the worst that could happen .not start .then i'll look elseware but thanks for all your replys

i had corrosion in the terminal that plugs in to the coil the 12v wire.. i tried and tried to start it.. once i got all the corrosion out there was a huge bang from all the fuel i dumped in the motor..haha.. needless to say.. check all connections..

Pull the coil wire out of the distributor cap and hold it close to a known ground while someone cranks the engine over with the key.

Dean, HEI's don't have a coil wire (unless it's an external coil, & he didn't say that).
