I've seen photos so I'm pretty sure they exist. Looking for a cowl-type hood for my 65. Any sources? Thanks.

Well I searched and searched only one I could find that I liked was from glasstek... GREAT Quality and perfect fit.

http://www.glasstek.com/

I had heard a few choice things about up22 and I could only find one in steel and I did not like the way the scoop poped out of the middle of the hood.

See pics in my sig for 2" cowl

I have heard some things about UP22 as well. I have no personal experience with them though.

Do Not Go With UP22.com!!!! There products suck!!!!I have one of there hoods and I am not impressed with the quality one bit after waiting nearly two months after it was supposed to be done. When my hood was ordered, we (my father and I) were told it would take about a month to complete. Like I said, it took them nearly two extra months to finish it and when ever me or my dad called them to find out the progress on it, we would get put on hold and ended up hanging up on them because no one would answer. I guess I really didn't need all that, I just hate them with an incredibly strong passion.

the question i have is fiberglass, metal, pin on, or bolt to your hood springs. if you just want the look bond a fiberglass cowl of your choice. steal i am not sure (1972 ss), but you could weld one on. the fiberglass you could actually cut a hole in the hood were ever you need the extra room.here is what i did.

About 10 yrs. ago the first time I ever heard of Glasstek was when I met a guy who had one of their cowl hoods on his Mariner Blue '65. The reason I introduced myself to him was to ask some questions about that very nice hood. I've compared and Glasstek makes a nice product.

Doesn't Goodmark also make a steel cowl hood for '65's?
