I'm in the process of putting a electric choke a Holley 750 DP. Directions are not clear to me concerning how much should the fast idle screw contact the fast idle cam. Also what position should the cam be in when it comes into contact with the screw?

Thanks!!!

AAron,
Basically, when the choke is closed, you adjust the fast idle screw to whatever rpm you want the engine to idle at. The fast idle screw should only be contacting the cam when the choke is closed. The adjustment will vary considerably from engine to engine, depeds on engine size, camshaft etc.

Personally, I have never seen a Holley that really needed a choke unless you were going to drive it in sub freezing weather. Usually a couple of pumps on the gas to get it started, then maybe have to "play" with it a little while it warms up, but not very long. They usually have a rich enough idle anyway.
