: 350 value?

So I am pulling the crate 350 out of my Chevelle in preparation for the 496 being built...I'd like to sell the 350, but I have no idea what to ask for it.

Its a basic crate motor, 2005 vintage, ~600 miles on it (or so I am told by the previous owner - no receipt to verify). I plan to sell the whole thing - oil pan to carb. Iron heads, holley strip dominator, 600 CFM Edelbrock performer...unknown (but mild) hydraulic cam. Basically just a plain jane 350 with a few adds.

Is 1500 too much or too little? Other thoughts?

Thanks,
Rob

1500 is prob good to someone you know ,who trusts you since you have no recipts. but to joe blow off the street, you may only expect say,1000-1200 on your word, unless you get a buyer who actually knows what he is looking at. you may try taking a little video of it running before pulling it,try having a friend drive by you and get on it a little to show that it does not smoke and such. also have a starter bolted to it and a compression tester handy to do a comp test for a buyer. this should get you your 1500 from someone who knows what they are looking at.
