on a 70, does a trim piece go there? This would be where the package tray meets the back window. I noticed mine looks like bare metal of the body that has been painted black.
Couldn't find anything in the repro catalog so I thought I'd ask here.

Nope. The piece that you see is part of the rear deck filler panel. It should be painted black with the trim ending on the edges of the piece.
