does the weatherstip for the trunk (70 Malib) just press into place or did it have an adheisive to secure it into place?

Bruce, You should use some trim adhesive in the channel before setting in the weatherstrip.If you use a black colored one,any oozing adhesive won"t show too much.Just use a small bead about 3/16" wide in the center of the channel. Good luck,Don :cool:
