I now have the doors off and will rebuilding the hinges and the handles new springs etc, because they just suck. Anybody know a good place to buy them from? OPD had a good price but not what I was looking for.

You need to be more specific. If all you are replacing is the hinge pins and bushings, you can pick them up at just about any auto parts store for about five buck each. OPG has a kit for $21 I think.

If you are talking about the detent pin and bushing I think the OPG kit is fine. Not a direct replacement, but they work well.

I just did this to the hinges on the 70. I went down to the local NAPA and asked for thier pin/bushing kit. $7 each, had to grind off the crimped end to the original pin, and used a center punch to drive the pin out.
The kits use copper or brass bushings, compared to the factory nylon (which will last longer) so be sure to keep your hinges greased. If you have a welder to tack in or crimping tool for the job, do it just to make sure the pins stay in place over the years of service.

I will tell you it made a huge difference in how easy the door closes/opens I highly recommend this being done if yours are worn.

Good luck with it and have fun.

Thanks a lot for the replys. I work at Checker Auto Parts in Colorado and I didn't even realize we had the pins. Bought some put some white lithium grease on em, ordered the hinge repair kit from OPD should be here in a week. Then comes time to hang the doors, that should be a nightmare with the fenders on.
