I'm painting a 72 Elky front grill and have a couple of questions.

1. How do you remove the chrome/stainless steel facade from the plastic grill? Or, do you just mask it?

2. What is the color of the SS grill? is it the 0 degree black satin?

thanks,

Tom.

I am about to paint my grill...
I had 4 chrome moldings on mine.. tried to take out one for paint... bent all over.. so i took the 2 middle ones and i am painting it like the SS grill as well.. (I even have and SS emblme.. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif That stands for Sport Sedan..)

I am going to mask the chrome moldings i have left.. (upper and lower) and by my book.. the SS grill was fully black..

good luck.
