Need more info...are you talking about total requirements? i.e. undercoats and top coats? What type of paint? single stage, base/clear...gotta be more specific.

I was curious as to like a gallon or a gallon and a half of paint. If I go with the color I think I am, it is a three stage paint. I'll be jaming the car and possibly be painting two hoods. I'm trying to get an idea of how much paint I need to ask my paint store for. I'm trying to get an estimate on how much to budget for paint.

3-stage paint along with necessary ingredients will run over $1000.

BTW, thinking 3-stage paint and "a gallon or gallon and a half" together indicates you may need more education on painting processes than you can expect to learnfrom this forum alone. You might want to visit the local library and read up on the subject.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't going to paint my car myself. I thought I could cut a little of the price by buying my own paint. I am by no means a painter. I'm hell with Krylon though. Thanks again for the info.
