When I open IE this comes up as the home page I can still change it back to what I want though, but if I open IE again it's back.

Got rid of some stuff with Spy bot & adaware & I'm running Stinger right now.

Guess I shouldn't try to download those codecs just to see that certain XXX clip.:o:D

Its hard to tell wheather that is spyware or a virus. Judging by your webspace you use Charter's internet. As a tech support agent for Charter, I would recommend you download the Charter High Speed Security Suite (Should be free depending on what package you pay for), run the online virus scan from their website, then install the security suite.
I hope this takes care of your problem!

The restore to a previous time is the best fix, it's the only way I've been able to get rid of those kind of trojans reliably short of wiping the system and reinstalling everything. I've had several customers that have had it, it's about as nasty and hard to remove as they get.

Seen this one before....it's spyware and a big PITA to wipe out. The malware problem is just getting worse and worse. People are not being educated properly on how to protect themselves. I've found that even computer shops are not telling people what they need to know (I do though :)) I remember before this forum started how many virus outbreaks we had here among the TC community. Now, you don't hear of as many problems :)

It happened to me a few years ago. Your browser has been hijacked. Do a search for browser hijackiing and you will find sites such as 'hijack this' where you can download programs to rid you of the problem.

Follow the tips here and see where it gets you. Everything except the DOS scanning should be free. If you still have a problem download and run hijack this save the log file and then post it here and somebody will tell you how to fix what is left. http://www.techsupportforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=50

Seems to be fine for now after the restore but I'm sure the bug is still there.
Thanks for the help.

I subscribe to Webroot Spy Sweeper and it will not allow such programs to take over. The yearly cost has been money well spent. I think they offer a free trial, check thier web site (http://www.webroot.com/).
